Solar thermal energy
How does a solar thermal system work?
The answer is simple: collectors absorb the sun’s radiant energy. They heat a liquid, which then transports the solar heat to a storage tank in the house. This stores the energy until it is required for hot water or space heating. For solar thermal energy to function reliably and efficiently, however, individual planning is essential. In addition to the orientation of the slope, the size of the collectors and the volume of the storage tank also play a role.
